Seven fires remain active, while 24 cases were reported in 24 hours

The Crisis Management Center reported that 24 fires in open areas were recorded across the country over the past 24 hours. Of these, seven remain active, one has been brought under control, while 16 have been completely extinguished.

According to data published at 7:30 a.m., one of the active fires is burning between the villages of Bella Crkva and Podmoçani in the Municipality of Resen, where pine forests and low vegetation are on fire. The fire between Kopanica and Radusha in the Municipality of Saraj is also active.

Other fires have been reported above the village of Paligrad in the Municipality of Zelenikovo, above the village of Nezhilovo and in the Svatovi area in the Municipality of Čaška. Active fires have also been reported near the village of Urviç in the Municipality of Bogovinje, near the village of Gradec in the Municipality of Vrapčište, and near the village of Dragov Dol in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod.

Meanwhile, the fire that spread from the area of the village of Tërnovë in the Municipality of Gostivar toward the villages of Bitovë, Zagrad and Strajane in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod is now under control.

During the same period, firefighting teams also extinguished 16 other fires that had affected open areas in several municipalities across the country.
