Crisis Management Center: Five of Nine Outdoor Fires Remain Active

As of 1:00 p.m. today, a total of nine outdoor fires had been recorded. The Crisis Management Center reported that five remain active, three have been brought under control and one has been extinguished.

In Makedonski Brod, in the Vidush area near the village of Dragov Dol, the flames have engulfed low vegetation, low-trunk forest and shrubs. The fire in Studenichani, above the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber, also remains active, with mixed forest burning.

Active fires have also been reported in the Ilinden settlement in the Municipality of Ilinden, where low vegetation has been affected, as well as in Zhelino, near the village of Chiflik, where the flames have engulfed low vegetation and mixed forest. Low vegetation is also burning near the village of Bukri in Bitola.

According to the Crisis Management Center, the fires near the city landfill in Delchevo, near Novo Selo on Mount Ograzhden, and near the village of Zajaz in Kichevo have been brought under control. Harvested straw, pine forest and tires were affected at these sites.

Meanwhile, the fire in the village of Vranjovce, in the Municipality of Vrapchishte, has been extinguished after the flames engulfed low vegetation.
