An explosion inside a car in Gjilan left two people injured, one of whom is in serious condition.

The head of the Central Intensive Care Unit, Shaqir Uka, provided information on the 40-year-old’s condition, confirming that it remains serious.
According to Uka, the patient was transferred last night from Gjilan Regional Hospital to the Emergency Center after sustaining injuries from an explosive device. He underwent radiological and laboratory examinations there, while due to his deteriorating condition and hemorrhagic shock, he immediately underwent emergency surgery.
Following the procedure, the 40-year-old was taken to the Intensive Care Unit for further treatment. Uka said the most serious injuries were to his lower extremities, while the patient is currently being kept sedated and on medical life-support equipment.
Naser Syla, director of the Emergency Center at UCCK, also spoke about the case. He said the patient was brought from Gjilan Regional Hospital in serious condition and, after examinations at the Emergency Center, was taken to the operating room for emergency surgery.
Syla added that, after the operation was completed, the patient was transferred to the Central Intensive Care Unit (CICU), where he is continuing to receive treatment, while his condition remains serious.
