Police have arrested the person suspected of threatening the chair of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi, via social media.

According to media sources, the arrested man is 32-year-old Haziz Bytyqi, while the threat was made on February 9, 2025.
Bytyqi was apprehended by police at the Vërmica border crossing.
The arrest was also confirmed to the media by the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina through its spokesperson, Kaltrina Shala.
“In response to your request for information, we wish to inform you that, by order of the State Prosecutor, a person with the initials H.B. has been detained for 48 hours. He is suspected of committing the criminal offense of ‘Threat,’ as defined in Article 181 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. In this matter, the State Prosecutor is taking all necessary investigative measures and actions in accordance with the applicable legal provisions,” Shala stated.
