A 32-year-old from Kërçova, identified as D.S., was arrested by police forces from the Kërçova station on September 9, 2026, around 3:10 a.m. He is suspected of committing the criminal offense of negligent driving of a motor vehicle, as stipulated under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.

According to reports, the young man was behind the wheel of a “Volkswagen Golf” with local license plates when, at the roundabout on “Boris Kidriç” Street, he lost control and crashed into a concrete curb, ending up off the roadway.
During the accident management procedures, authorities discovered that D.S. was driving the car despite an active ban on his category B license. In addition, he refused to submit to an alcohol test. As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the instruction of the public prosecutor, the car was seized and, after full documentation of the event, a corresponding indictment will be filed against the 32-year-old.
