The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Macedonia announced that on 29.06.2026, at around 20:00, in the village of Vizbeg near Skopje, officers from the Intervention Police Unit at the Skopje Internal Affairs Department detained S.Sh. (29) from Skopje.
According to the statement, earlier he had caused an incident at the Asylum Center in Vizbeg, where he behaved aggressively and threatened a woman with a sharp object, before leaving the scene in a taxi.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes that after measures were taken, the taxi was stopped within a short time, and the person was deprived of his liberty. During the search, police found and seized a knife from him.
Checks carried out in the operational records during the procedure established that S.Sh. was wanted under a court order to serve the remaining part of a prison sentence lasting seven years and one month.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs said, he was then taken to the Correctional Institution – Idrizovo Prison to serve the sentence.
