A 27-year-old Polish national has been arrested in Krujë after allegedly committing three thefts at hotels and bars over the past week. The police operation to arrest him was codenamed “Cyclist.”

The arrested man is Tomasz Fortuna, a resident of England. According to the investigation, he was riding a bicycle around the city of Krujë and is suspected of stealing sums of money, a mobile phone and other items.
During the search, officers seized the mobile phone, a sum of money and the bicycle allegedly used to carry out the thefts as material evidence.
Meanwhile, efforts are continuing to clarify and document other thefts that may have been committed by the 27-year-old.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action over the criminal offense of “Theft.”
