Upon arriving in front of the government building, the protesters will voice their concerns and dissatisfaction with the executive’s decisions, in a movement that has now lasted four months.
The central demand of the citizens gathered is still Edi Rama’s resignation as prime minister. Their platform also calls for the formation of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate, which would be tasked with preparing the country for the upcoming elections.
In addition, the protesters are demanding the annulment of several legislative initiatives which, according to them, harm the interests of Albanian citizens.
The organizers have announced that the protest will continue in the coming days and that there will be no retreat until the demands put forward are met.
