11 new HIV/AIDS cases recorded in July, ages ranging from 20 to 49

According to the latest report on acute infectious diseases, 11 new HIV/AIDS cases were identified in North Macedonia during July.

Nine of these cases were men, while two were women, and all those affected were between 20 and 49 years old.

The data show that from 1987 to 2026, a total of 765 people with HIV/AIDS were registered in the country. Of these, 141 have died, 508 are living with the virus, while 116 people are categorized as lost to follow-up.

During the same month, other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections were also reported, including seven cases of syphilis and four cases of viral hepatitis B.

One case each of gonorrhea, chlamydia infection and viral hepatitis C was also recorded.
