A day after the protest outside the Prime Minister’s Office, during which citizens kept Edi Rama confined to his office for around two hours, police arrested 14 people. The Tuesday protest (September 1) marked an escalation of the situation.

Those arrested reportedly include Arvina Lleshi, Bora Mitrovica, Edison Lika, Dritan Goxhaj, Erlind Alimeti, Arben Kola and Andi Tepelena.
The Tuesday protest (September 1) marked an escalation of the situation. After gathering in Skanderbeg Square, the protesters marched toward the Prime Minister’s Office.
Later, some of them moved to the streets behind the building after receiving information that Prime Minister Edi Rama was in his office.
The protesters attempted to move closer to the Prime Minister’s Office, while police intervened by reinforcing the security cordon.
The situation became tense, and physical clashes broke out between the protesters and police forces.
Some citizens were also taken into custody during the protest. Following their detention, some of the protesters moved toward Police Station No. 3, demanding their release.
