Fire breaks out on Mount Shashica above Kaninë, strong winds spread the flames and threaten livestock shelters

A fire broke out this evening on Mount Shashica, in the area above the village of Kaninë.

Firefighting services have set out for the scene to intervene, but the steep mountainous terrain is making the operation more difficult. Meanwhile, strong winds are helping the flames spread.

The area is covered mainly by shrubs, while there are also several livestock shelters on the mountain, raising concerns about the risk of the fire spreading toward them.
