A serious crash involving a police car and a Volkswagen Passat claimed the lives of several people in the early hours of the morning in Britain.

The incident was recorded at around 3:40 a.m. on the A66 motorway, in the South Bank area near Middlesbrough, Teesside.
Authorities said the police vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Passat. The identities and exact number of victims have not yet been confirmed, while police continue working to identify them.
Cleveland Police clarified that initial reports indicated the involvement of three vehicles, but subsequent checks showed that only two vehicles were involved in the crash.
The North East Ambulance Service deployed 14 crews to the scene, describing it as a “serious” crash. According to the service, “a number of patients had died.”
As a result of the collision, the A66 motorway has been closed in both directions between Normanby Road and Church Lane. Authorities said the closure could remain in place for a considerable period.
Numerous emergency service vehicles have been positioned in the area, while drivers have been asked to use alternative routes.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine all the circumstances surrounding the crash.
