The protesters gathered in “Skënderbej” Square and then marched toward “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, following the same route they take every evening.
The march ended in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, where participants once again called for Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation. The protesters’ speeches and chants also repeated demands for a change in the political class and the establishment of a technocratic government.
The gathering comes after last night’s incident, when the protesters split into two groups and the situation was accompanied by insults and tensions. The clash is also believed to have involved a separate physical incident.
Among the speakers at the 79th protest was Agron Jemini, known as “Agroni i Flamurit,” who had been involved in the incident the previous night. He called on the authorities to intervene, while urging the protesters to remain united and avoid division.
