Divjaka residents’ resistance to the new administrative-territorial reform has entered its 17th day, with hundreds of citizens once again gathering in the main square to oppose the plan to merge their municipality with Lushnja.

According to the protesters, the proposal is entirely political and does not meet any socioeconomic or development criteria for the area.
During speeches delivered in the evening, activists and local residents called on the entire Divjaka community to gather in large numbers in the square, emphasizing that Divjaka is fully capable of functioning as an independent administrative unit.
The 17th day of the rally concluded with the citizens’ customary march along Divjaka’s main roads, while organizers warned that the resistance would continue until the draft was fully withdrawn.
