One of the protesters in Zvërnec called for Edi Rama’s resignation, declaring that residents would not accept investments by foreigners on land that, according to her, belongs to them.

“Edi Rama promised that he would issue land certificates and unite Albanians, but the opposite happened: he drove them away from Albania. No foreigner will invest in Albanian lands, because only Albanians have that right. Rama must resign, because no Albanian owes it to you to struggle and suffer.
We received the land under Law 7501, that cursed law of Sali Berisha. The land, forests, and sand belong to us,” she said.
