LVV leader Albin Kurti has reiterated that the Albanian parliamentary parties must reach an agreement on the candidate to be elected as Kosovo’s next president. According to him, the candidate must enjoy consensus.

Speaking to the media, Kurti said the next president, whether a man or a woman, should be someone with a proven record in their profession and society, with merit and contributions, and who represents national and civic values.
“As the election winner, LVV maintains that the next president must be a consensus candidate and secure the broadest possible support in the Assembly and among the public. He or she must have merit and a record of contribution, represent national and civic values, and have a proven record in their profession and society. For this reason, we want to reach an agreement in order to avoid new elections,” Kurti said.
He also congratulated the 100 cadets who joined the Kosovo Correctional Service today.
Kurti described it as a joyful and successful day for the Ministry of Justice, the justice system and the Kosovo Correctional Service, as the 100 cadets successfully completed their five-month training and will now serve as officers.
