Convict Denis Bajri, also known as Brajovic, has accused his sworn enemy, the much-wanted Ibrahim Lici, of ordering an attack on him inside his cell at Fier prison.
Journalist Klodiana Lala reports that in his testimony, Bajri states that Aldo Gjini asked to meet him and appeared at his cell together with Jurgen Zotaj.

According to Bajri, during the meeting Zotaj gave him a phone, with Ibrahim Liçi on the line. The latter, according to Bajri’s testimony, issued a direct threat.
“Your life is over,” was reportedly the message that, according to Bajri, Liçi told him on the phone. Bajri further claims that at that moment Jurgen Zotaj tried to attack him with a homemade knife.
“Aldo Gjini asked to meet me. He came to my cell with Jurgen Zotaj. Zotaj gave me a phone; Ibrahim Liçi was on the line. Liçi told me on the phone: ‘Your life is over.’ At that moment, Zotaj tried to attack me with a knife,” he testified.
During the scuffle, Bajri and Zoto were injured and transported for medical care. After the incident, the Disciplinary Commission at the General Directorate of Prisons decided to dismiss 8 prison police officers and refer them to the prosecution for abuse of duty.
The Internal Affairs and Complaints Service in Prisons is investigating to determine the responsibility of the police officers who allowed the movement of convicts and detainees from one building to another, as well as the fact that they had a phone, a strictly prohibited item in cells.
The Disciplinary Commission ordered a 3-month isolation measure for Gjini and Zotaj. Aldo Gjini was transferred to Drenovë, while Zoto to Burrel prison.
