Five Swedish tourists were brought safely ashore this Sunday after facing the risk of drowning while sailing in the waters off Ksamil.

The group had rented a pedal boat, which encountered difficulties at sea and was unable to continue moving normally. As a result, the five people on board called for help.
The situation was noticed by Border Police and Maritime Police Unit officers while they were patrolling the maritime area of Ksamil. The officers immediately responded, provided the tourists with the necessary assistance, towed the pedal boat and escorted it to shore.
All the tourists were brought ashore without problems and are in good health, having suffered no injuries.
Following the intervention, the Swedish tourists expressed their gratitude to the Border Police and Maritime Police Unit officers for their quick response and assistance.
The police said that the border structures and the Maritime Police Unit will continue their efforts to protect the lives of citizens and tourists in maritime areas, particularly throughout the tourist season.
