Vetëvendosje Movement MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila has sharply criticized the opposition’s conduct amid the current political circumstances, including its refusal to meet with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti. According to her, a political cause and political action must be logically connected; otherwise, politics becomes a chaotic process dictated by emotion and resentment.

She also reacted to today’s incident in the Assembly, when AAK MP Time Kadriaj threw eggs at Kurti. Kusari-Lila interpreted the act as evidence that political tensions had moved beyond the bounds of control and reason.
In her assessment, the country needs functioning institutions. Kusari-Lila stressed that this can be achieved only through dialogue, compromise and voting in the Assembly, not by avoiding meetings, setting conditions or taking actions that lower the standard of political debate.

According to Kusari-Lila, a cause must logically align with the manner in which political action is taken. When the two conflict, she believes there is no cause and politics descends into chaos, dominated by resentment, emotion and vulgar language, as signs of uncontrolled instincts and the absence of a defined objective.
She said that, unfortunately, this was the image presented by the opposition last night and today.
Kusari-Lila recalled that two opposition parties repeatedly rejected Prime Minister Kurti’s invitation to meet last night. Meanwhile, according to her, the other party is demanding far more than the country’s voters entrusted it with, while at the same time insisting that the Assembly be constituted.
She summarized this position as one in which the opposition refuses to sit down for talks but demands that others come and vote, arguing that institutions are necessary.
Today, she continued, the political action of one MP escalated into a physical attack involving eggs against the Prime Minister. As was heard, the MP had not even informed her own parliamentary group. Kusari-Lila described the scene as surreal and as an indication that frustration had moved beyond the control and logic of political action.
Regarding the MP’s actions, Kusari-Lila said she had nothing to add other than to hope that she had calmed down after that moment. She also expressed hope that the MP and her parliamentary group would understand that they could serve the country far more constructively by participating and voting to constitute the institutions than through such actions.
Finally, she underlined that meetings and dialogue between political leaders are the only serious mechanism for overcoming the deadlock. According to Kusari-Lila, comparisons with the past, justifications for the situation or attempts to shift responsibility onto others do not change the central fact that the country needs functioning institutions. She stressed that this can be achieved through dialogue, compromise and a vote in the Assembly, not by refusing meetings, imposing unilateral conditions and taking actions that degrade political debate.
