A large fire broke out along the mountainous border between the villages of Golem and Progonat in Gjirokastër, in extremely difficult terrain.

It is reported that, as a result of the flames, an area of approximately 3 hectares covered with shrubs and grassland was burned.
The fire has now been completely contained and is moving toward being fully extinguished. Meanwhile, the firefighting service remains at the scene to monitor the area and prevent any possible reactivation.
