Mustafa Dauti, deputy director of the Customs Administration, announced its return in a video published on social media. The sign now also displays the message “Welcome!” in Albanian.
The move is seen as evidence of the commitment of VLEN officials to respecting and concretely implementing the guaranteed rights of Albanians.
Unlike in cases when such issues went unnoticed, the institutions intervened swiftly this time and corrected the situation without delay.
The restoration of Albanian on the welcome sign is presented as another indication that institutions led by VLEN officials are acting responsibly and decisively to protect the equality and dignity of every citizen.
