A teacher and five other people were killed at a school in Thailand after a student opened fire inside the educational institution and then took his own life, international media reported.

According to authorities, the incident occurred in Bang Kruai district, in Nonthaburi province, north of Bangkok.
Police confirmed that the death toll had risen to six, while the suspected gunman was identified as a student at the school who died by suicide after the attack.
Several people were injured in the shooting, including a teacher and three students.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera, reporting on the incident at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, said the number of injured could be around 20.
Thai authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive for the attack and the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
