Three Vehicles Collide on Sarandë-Ksamil Road, Two Spanish Tourists Injured

Three vehicles were involved in a collision around midday on Thursday on the Sarandë-Ksamil national road, near the area known as Manastiri. Two Spanish nationals who were vacationing in Sarandë were injured in the accident.

After the incident was reported, an ambulance and police services immediately arrived at the scene. Emergency teams transported the injured, while police officers intervened to restore traffic to normal.

The injured were identified as Jove Pibrall Jove, 24, and Catia Picac, 37. Both were initially taken to the emergency department at Sarandë Hospital for medical treatment.

Doctors said the 24-year-old had suffered injuries to his lower back. Due to his condition, he was taken by ambulance to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he will receive specialist treatment. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old, who sustained head injuries, remains under treatment at Sarandë Hospital and is out of danger.

The circumstances that led to the collision involving the three vehicles have not yet been officially disclosed. Police have launched an investigation to determine the causes of the accident, which also resulted in considerable property damage.
