One of the citizens attending the gathering expressed dissatisfaction with Albania’s political and social situation, while making strong accusations regarding the country’s governance and history.
Speaking from the square, the protester described Albania as a country with great values, but claimed that foreign interventions and influences over the years have damaged it.
“For 500 years, the Turks changed our religion; Rama changed our nation. This is the most beautiful country in the world, but it is cursed. Since 1940, the Slavs, the Serbs, have been in command of it. Kosovo is 100 years ahead of us, even though it has been a state for only 20 years. I congratulate you as a television station,” the citizen declared.
