According to the party, in no normal country can a foreign minister tell citizens that talks determining the future of their country are a secret.
“How can North Macedonia’s future be kept secret? Meanwhile, Mucunski is seeking political immunity for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, claiming that ‘the entire Government may be criticized, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs alone may not,’” SDSM said.
The party described such a position as unacceptable.
SDSM stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not stand above the Government, but is part of the same Government that, for two years, has not opened a single cluster, has missed the deadlines for the reforms promised by June 1 and, as its only “result,” presents the narrative that the opposition has no right to speak.
Mucunski says that, unlike the previous Government, “they are not soft,” but SDSM claims that the facts show a different picture.
According to the party, the achievements of the previous Government have also been acknowledged by VMRO-DPMNE representatives themselves. Mickoski described the Prespa Agreement as a “masterpiece of diplomacy,” while President Siljanovska-Davkova confirmed that identity, language and culture are fully protected and free from liability. Mucunski himself also spoke today about the benefits of NATO membership, even though VMRO-DPMNE opposed the process for years.
“All three of them, therefore, valued the actions of the previous Government. So which ‘concessions’ is Mucunski talking about? The previous Government worked transparently,” SDSM said./Telegrafi/
