Following the incident, he was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but doctors were unable to save him. Mattia Miraglia, 32, a Vescovato resident with no criminal record, has been detained in connection with the incident.
Miraglia was also injured and is receiving treatment at Maggiore Hospital under the supervision of the authorities. Meanwhile, the Carabinieri are continuing their investigation to clarify all the circumstances surrounding the crime.
Investigators’ initial suspicions point to romantic motives and jealousy over a young woman. The confrontation between the 24-year-old and the suspect began at a bar, where the two had argued, though the situation appeared to have calmed down without further consequences.
Later, N. Dalipaj went with his brothers to the 32-year-old’s home in Vescovato. According to the authorities’ preliminary reconstruction, Miraglia emerged from the house with a knife, first stabbing one of the victim’s brothers in the abdomen and then striking N. Dalipaj several times, inflicting wounds that caused his death.
