The KFOR Joint Medical Unit (JMED), together with personnel from Regional Command-East (RC-E), conducted training on medical evacuation and familiarization with procedures for using helicopters. The activity was held at Film City Camp in Pristina and Bondsteel Camp in Ferizaj.

The exercise was attended by multinational medical personnel and aviation crews from across KFOR’s area of operations, with the aim of enhancing their ability to respond to medical emergencies.
Participants practiced loading and unloading patients from active and inactive helicopters, while also training in procedures for hoisting patients by air.
KFOR said that combining practical training with the exchange of experience enabled participants to deepen their knowledge of aviation safety and improve professional cooperation among mission units.
According to the mission, the training reflects its continued commitment to maintaining medical readiness and situational awareness, helping to create a safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo.
KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, in line with the roles each institution has in the field of security.
