Sergei Aksyonov, the Moscow-appointed governor of this region, described the incident as a “barbaric” attack and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
In a message on Telegram, Aksyonov announced that the authorities will take care of supporting the wounded.
The incident in Crimea was reported at a time when both sides are announcing an intensification of airstrikes. Earlier, a suspected Ukrainian attack on a Russian warehouse in the Vladimir region had also been reported.
Since its annexation by Russia in 2014, Crimea, which continues to be under Moscow’s control, has often been included on the list of targets for Ukrainian strikes during the war.
