Residents of Belsh today joined the wave of opposition to the Territorial Reform, which aims to merge their municipality with Elbasan. Holding signs bearing the message, “The Renaissance wanted Belsh as a capital; you are assimilating it,” they demanded a clear position from the municipal authorities. Residents also called for a united front beyond party divisions to preserve their area’s heritage and distinctive characteristics.
