Earlier, the Special Court had approved a three-month extension of the investigation, while the senior official had been charged in connection with only two cases: the Llogara Tunnel and Lot 4 of the Ring Road.
Sources from the Prosecution Office say there is a possibility that Balluku will not be present when the charges are communicated and will instead be represented solely by her defense lawyer, Ardian Kalia.
Meanwhile, the charges for these same criminal offenses have already been communicated to the other individuals under investigation, Evis Berberi and Miranda Shkurte.
