Lumir Abdixhiku addressed delegates of the Democratic League of Kosovo at the party’s extraordinary Assembly, where a decision is expected on whether he will continue his term as LDK leader.

In his speech, Abdixhiku said that, in his assessment, this process is taking place at an inappropriate time. Nevertheless, he stressed that he respects the democratic will of the delegates.
After Abdixhiku concluded his speech, LDK MP Armend Zemaj was given the floor to argue in favor of the motion seeking the dismissal of the party leader.
Zemaj is among the main initiators of the motion and led the collection of the signatures required to convene the extraordinary Assembly.
Following the conclusion of the opening speeches, the LDK Assembly continued its proceedings without the public present. The delegates will hold discussions and then vote to determine the fate of the party’s current leader.
