Agron Shehaj, chairman of the Mundësia Party, has responded after SPAK chief Klodian Braho confirmed that the Socialist Party had filed a complaint against him because he sought access to the draft law on the loan agreement with the United States. He said the special anti-corruption body is controlled by neither Edi Rama nor Taulant Balla.

Shehaj said he is fully prepared to undergo scrutiny, adding that Rama and Balla cannot block the investigations into Belinda Balluku and the prime minister. According to him, SPAK’s reports show that these investigations have entered a more advanced phase.
The Mundësia Party leader claimed that Edi Rama and Taulant Balla sought his arrest and asked SPAK to carry it out, but failed because they forgot that the institution is not under Rama’s control. After this attempt failed, according to Shehaj, the prime minister sent Balla to file a false complaint with SPAK.
He welcomed the scrutiny, saying that SPAK can now examine how he sought to exercise his rights in Parliament and how he acted in defense of transparency. At the same time, Shehaj emphasized that SPAK has announced that the investigations into Belinda Balluku have deepened.
According to him, 9 officers and 3 prosecutors are investigating what he described as massive corrupt schemes involving Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku. Shehaj claimed that the media would not report this development but would instead focus on the news that SPAK will scrutinize and investigate him.
Addressing his supporters, he said he is not at all concerned by the attacks, mudslinging, or slander. Shehaj expressed confidence that he and his supporters are making the right choice by fighting evil in Albania and those who, according to him, have made the lives of Albanian citizens miserable for 35 years.
He stressed that this battle must not be abandoned and that it will continue until they are removed. Shehaj also warned that a “scorching” summer awaits the corrupt, while confirming that he will continue exposing the government’s corrupt schemes and that nothing will stop him in his opposition fight.
