Rama Publishes AMA Figures: Albania Has Nothing to Do with Autocracies

Prime Minister Edi Rama commented in a Facebook post on the results of monitoring conducted by the Audiovisual Media Authority for June 2026. According to the data, the Socialist Party received 36.05% of airtime, while the opposition as a whole received 63.95%.

Rama wrote that the two published overviews present facts supported by measurements rather than perceptions, proving, in his view, that Albania has nothing to do with autocracies or what are described as regimes.

The prime minister said he decided to publish the data as evidence of what he called the “intellectual wretchedness” of his opponents, who, according to him, constantly look for reasons—particularly in him—as to why the “regime” is not overthrown. He described political and media critics as “crows and ravens” who place Albania in the category of regimes day and night, while arguing that the problem lies in their inability to understand the country.

The AMA monitoring report states that, during June 2026, a total of 402.47 minutes were devoted to political forces in the main news bulletins. Of this airtime, 36.05% went to the Socialist Party and 63.95% to the opposition as a whole, Rama emphasized.
