Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, has reacted to the tragic house fire in the village of Domen, Postribë, in Shkodër, which claimed the lives of a young mother and her two young children.

In a social media post, Berisha expressed his sorrow over the three victims and raised questions about the emergency services’ response. He identified the victims as 24-year-old Bleona Çelaj and her two children, aged 3 and 18 months, who, according to him, had come from Germany to spend their holidays in their homeland.
The Democratic Party leader described the incident as a “grave human tragedy” and expressed his anguish over the loss of the young mother and her two children. “Great sorrow! Indifference is the fire’s accomplice in this deeply painful human tragedy,” he stated.
In his full statement, Berisha said the media had reported on the horrific incident in Domen, Postribë, where Bleona Çelaj and her two children were caught in a house fire. According to him, by the time firefighters arrived in the village, the house had been completely engulfed in flames. The lifeless body of one of the children was found at that time, while there was still no information about the fate of the 24-year-old woman and her other child.
Concluding his message with the words “Great sorrow!”, Berisha reiterated that indifference had become an accomplice to the fire in this deeply painful human tragedy.
