Abnora Luta, spokesperson for the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, has announced that the institution will submit a request to the court today for the detention of two persons arrested in Zubin Potok.

They are accused of committing the criminal offense of “War crimes against the civilian population.”
The detained individuals have been identified with the initials M.J. and M.B. They are being investigated in connection with the discovery of a mass grave in the territory of Zubin Potok, where human remains were found believed to belong to 23 Mitrovica intellectuals. The latter are suspected of having been killed by Serbian troops during the 1999 conflict.
According to the Special Prosecution’s announcement, with the authorization of the Basic Court in Pristina and at the request of the responsible prosecutor, law enforcement authorities have completed the phases of exhumation, forensic examination, and identification of the mortal remains at the site where the common grave was found in the Municipality of Zubin Potok.
