Trump warns Iran: We can destroy bridges and power plants within hours

U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated threats against Iran, emphasizing that the U.S. military has the capacity to strike and destroy the country’s key infrastructure in an extremely short period, if Tehran refuses to negotiate a deal.

He indicated that if forced to “finish the job” left hanging, the main targets would include Iran’s bridges and power plants. Trump drew attention to the disparity between the years needed to build them and the speed of destruction.

“While a bridge takes about a decade to build, the vast majority of strategic bridges can be destroyed in less than two hours,” he stated. The White House chief added that even power plants can be completely wiped out within a day.

Trump also warned that Iran’s refusal to reach a deal would result in strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in the Pickaxe Mountain area.

Commenting on the regional situation, he underscored that jurisdiction over the Strait of Hormuz belongs to Washington, not Tehran. Although Iran could lay mines to block navigation, overall control of the area remains in the hands of the United States, according to the president.

He warned that such a military operation would be catastrophic for Iran, leaving around 91 million citizens without electricity and completely paralyzing the main road transport arteries.

Despite the harsh rhetoric, Trump stressed that these statements serve to increase pressure on Tehran to return to the negotiating table. He reiterated that, although the U.S. possesses the capability to carry out this attack, it would prefer to avoid an escalation of the conflict if a solution is reached through diplomatic channels.
