Fire in Vlora approaches residential area, firefighting forces continue intervention

In the midday of Monday, a fire broke out near the Vlora tunnel, in the locality known as Uji i Ftohtë.

Favored by high temperatures and wind, the spread of flames over the area covered with bushes and low vegetation was rapid, creating danger for the houses nearby. At some moments, the homes in the area were seriously threatened.

Police officers and firefighting teams immediately went to the scene and intervened without delay to limit the spread and protect the buildings.

Currently, the operation for the complete neutralization of the fire is still underway, as authorities try to prevent the expansion of the hotspots and any other possible consequences.
