From the parliament’s podium, Democratic Party MP Albana Vokshi stated that the elections were not lost by the opposition, but were manipulated. “We didn’t lose the elections. The elections were diverted, they were stolen. You know this very well,” she emphasized during the plenary session.

She leveled serious accusations against the majority, claiming that during the electoral process there was support from criminal groups. According to her, 12 criminal gangs operated in every district to help the Socialist Party. “This majority is not the will of the Albanian people,” Vokshi declared.
The PD MP added that the opposition sees itself as the voice of the citizens and of those protesting against the current government. “We are representatives of the Albanian people, we are representatives of the protesters,” she concluded her speech.
