As part of ongoing operations carried out by the Saranda Prosecutor’s Office and the Police Oversight Agency (AMP) against illegal construction, another wanted individual has turned himself in to the authorities.
Fifty-six-year-old Mirdar Koshi surrendered yesterday afternoon at the Saranda Police Station. He had been wanted since May 25 this year on charges of illegally building two additional floors on a property he owns.

In the two waves of raids conducted on May 15 and 25, authorities detained a total of 14 people, while two others remain at large.
The group involved consists of eight police officers, including the former police station chief and the former head of crime investigations, four former employees of the Saranda Municipality, and four property owners.
Despite the high number of people implicated, only two are currently behind bars: Gëzim Bashllari, the former police station chief, and Robert Çulli, the area specialist.
The remaining detainees, including those who surrendered, have been released under interim rulings by the Saranda Court and the Court of Appeal, creating a controversial situation regarding the security measures imposed on the group.
