A coordinated attack with dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Moscow area has left three dead and five others injured, according to a statement by Governor Andrei Vorobyev.
In the village of Pionersky, located in the Istra district, one of the drones crashed to the ground, immediately causing the death of three people and injuring three others. Meanwhile, in the city of Solnechnogorsk, another flying device struck an apartment building, resulting in two citizens being wounded.

Governor Vorobyev reported that during the night hours, Russian air defense systems managed to neutralize a total of 81 drones that were aiming to strike the region.
Simultaneously, in the southwestern Stavropol region, authorities announced the repulsion of another drone attack by Ukrainian forces. Governor Vladimir Vladimirov confirmed that the incident caused a fire in the industrial area of the village of Vyazniki, in the Spakovsky district, but fortunately there were no injuries.
In recent years, Kyiv’s forces have significantly increased the use of drones to strike targets inside Russian territory, focusing mainly on energy infrastructure, with the aim of damaging the resources that support the military operation launched by Moscow in February 2022.
On the other side, Russia continues unabated daily attacks against Ukraine, as the conflict, now in its fifth year, goes on without any clear prospect of a peaceful resolution.
