The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren has proposed to the Basic Court in this municipality that pre-trial detention be imposed on two suspects, B.H. and I.H., in connection with the aggravated murder that took place on Monday evening in the village of Zlipotok in the Municipality of Dragash, where imam Gazmend Tahirovci lost his life.
The Prosecution’s request states that B.H. is suspected of having, on June 29, 2026, at around 23:00, following an earlier conflict with the victim G.T. over the use of a property, namely a meadow, attacked him with a sharp instrument, a knife, causing fatal wounds. According to the information, the victim died at the scene.

Through a media statement, the Prosecution announced that there is suspicion that B.H. committed the criminal offense of “Aggravated Murder,” under Article 173 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, I.H., who is the father of the main suspect, is suspected of not having provided assistance to the victim, even though he was near the scene and had the opportunity to act without putting himself or other persons at risk. He is being suspected of the criminal offense of “Failure to Provide Assistance,” under Article 188 of the Criminal Code.
The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren emphasized that it will continue to remain committed to the fight against crime, to strengthening the rule of law, and to bringing to justice all those who act in violation of the law.
