US President Donald Trump, in an interview with Tgcom24, spoke about a recent post published on his social network Truth Social, through which he had criticized Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Italy’s approach within NATO.
During his remarks, Trump said the US is “treated very badly” even by allied countries such as Italy. He claimed that European states are not giving proper recognition to the spending America undertakes for their defense, he told Tgcom24.

Trump broadened the comment to NATO as a whole, declaring that some allies “have acted badly” toward the United States.
Asked whether the US could leave NATO, he did not give a definitive clarification and replied: “I don’t want to tell you.”
