This Thursday, Ajola Xoxa visited Fier Prison to see her husband, Erion Veliaj, who had been transferred there from Durrës Prison the day before.
Xoxa was seen inside the prison with her young son in her arms as she went to visit her husband. Earlier, Erion Veliaj’s mother had also gone to Fier Prison to visit him.

Veliaj was transferred from Durrës Prison to the prison in Fier the day before. The baby Ajola Xoxa held during her visit to Fier Prison is the couple’s second son, born on June 29, 2026.
At the time, Veliaj was being held in pretrial detention in Durrës, where he had been since his arrest in February 2025. After the birth of their son, he was granted special permission to spend 48 hours with his wife and baby at the Koço Gliozheni maternity hospital in Tirana.
The couple also have another son, Kajani, who was born in October 2018. Erion Veliaj was arrested on February 10, 2025, on the orders of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), as part of investigations into corruption and money laundering.
The investigation was later concluded, and the case was sent to the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) for trial.
