Artan Abrashi, an MP for the ruling Vetëvendosje Movement, called for those responsible for the murder of Arlinda Zekaj to be criminally investigated. She was killed on Sunday by her brother-in-law in her home in Vitomiricë, Peja, after repeatedly warning the state of the tragic outcome and seeking protection from the institutions.
Speaking in Parliament, Abrashi said that LVV supports the protest and described the protesters’ civic outrage, expressed both openly and in silence, as justified, necessary and a guide for the way forward.

He urged MPs not to remain silent or give up, but to fight until the situation changes, stressing that this is everyone’s duty.
The protesters have set a 24-hour deadline for the dismissal or resignation of ministers Gërvalla and Sveçla. This is one of the protest’s main demands. The protest is expected to continue today and every day until the demands are met.
