Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to insist on his request to engage in dialogue with them. Today, he placed a stone table and benches, as well as several chairs, in front of the Prime Minister’s Office; the young people had removed them in recent days.
On the table, the prime minister placed a sign reading “dialogue,” despite the fact that the young people had rejected it earlier and said they would not back down from their demand for his resignation, which they describe as non-negotiable.

One day earlier, the protest was accompanied by tensions and clashes. Law enforcement forces fired tear gas at the young people, while also targeting them with rubber bullets. They also used violence against some of them.
Lecturers have also joined the students’ protest, announcing a boycott of classes.
Every day, they march from the Polytechnic University to the prime minister’s office, in solidarity with the young people, opposing police violence against them and supporting their demand.
