Bulgarian authorities have arrested 19-year-old H.D. from Skopje after approximately €100,000 in counterfeit money was allegedly found on him during a search.
Before investigators, Dardhishta stated that he was unaware the banknotes were counterfeit.

According to the prosecution, the young man had spent a short period in Turkey. The banknotes had been sewn into the lining of the jacket he was wearing.
During the border check, his behavior attracted the authorities’ attention, as he appeared anxious, leaned heavily against the seat and looked toward the vehicle’s ceiling.
After his arrest, numerous photographs of similar counterfeit banknotes, taken earlier this year, were discovered on his mobile phone.
In some of these images, the young man also appeared himself.
The defense requested that a lighter measure be imposed, specifically financial bail, arguing that the 19-year-old had no criminal record and was young.
The court rejected the request and ordered pretrial detention, assessing that there was reasonable suspicion that he had committed the criminal offense of which he is accused, as well as a risk of flight if a more lenient measure were applied.
