A 39-year-old Serbian national was arrested at the Tabanoc border crossing at around 16:00 on October 23 as he was leaving the country. His arrest was linked to a violation recorded on July 15, 2026, on the Gevgelija–Demir Kapija motorway.
The “Safe City” system had recorded him driving at 166 km/h on a section of the motorway where the maximum permitted speed is 80 km/h.

Following his arrest, the 39-year-old was taken to Negotino Police Station, and the public prosecutor was notified of the case. Once the documentation is completed, a criminal complaint will be filed against him for reckless driving of a motor vehicle.
