Figures on the minimum wage in North Macedonia highlight the difference between the policies of 2016–2018 and those of 2024–2026, VLEN says. According to the party, higher workers’ incomes contribute to improving living standards.
Data made public by Besar Durmishi, the minister of economy and labor, show that the net minimum wage was 22,567 denars in 2024, rose to 24,379 denars in 2025, and reached 26,046 denars in 2026. The overall increase during this period was 3,479 denars.

Between 2016 and 2018, the minimum wage increased from 10,080 to 12,165 denars, an increase of 2,085 denars. VLEN compares this with the nominal increase during the first two years of the current mandate, which is around 67% higher, or 1,394 denars more.
The party emphasizes that the data on the minimum wage, alongside those on the average wage, once again place workers’ income levels and purchasing power at the center of attention.
According to VLEN, economic growth and measures concerning wages should bring concrete changes to citizens’ lives and give families greater opportunities to cover everyday expenses.
VLEN says it will continue to support initiatives to increase wages, improve working conditions, and raise living standards so that citizens can directly experience the economic benefits.
