MEP Anna Strolenberg has responded to warnings that, she says, have been conveyed to Albanian citizens regarding participation in protests against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
In a public statement, she denied that protesters could be refused entry to European Union countries, calling such a claim false.

Strolenberg said she had received information about warnings attributed to Prime Minister Rama, according to which protesting could affect Albanian citizens’ ability to travel to the EU.
“I have been told that Albanians are being warned by Edi Rama that if they take part in protests, they will be refused entry to the EU. This claim is FALSE!” the MEP said.
She urged Albanians not to let these warnings affect them and to continue exercising their right to peaceful assembly.
“Please do not let false claims discourage you from exercising your right to peaceful assembly. I know these are difficult and worrying times. Take care of yourselves!” Anna Strolenberg concluded.
