The State Supreme Audit Institution has launched an audit at Trauma Hospital following complaints about a power outage on the evening of October 19, when student protests were at their height.
Among those receiving treatment at the hospital for injuries sustained during the protest were many young men and women. They said the power outage prevented them from receiving the medical care they needed.

As part of its review, the State Supreme Audit Institution is examining whether Trauma Hospital had sufficient capacity to handle the large number of patients and whether all those injured received appropriate treatment.
According to sources, the audit is being conducted as a priority specifically to assess the institution’s capacity amid the large influx of injured people.
The audit was launched immediately on October 20, and auditors from the State Supreme Audit Institution have been at Trauma Hospital for the past two days.
